Welcome!
The purposes of The Questers are to stimulate
interest in the past and the preservation of places,
things and ideas that form the foundation and fabric
of our lives and culture.
A
Quester has curiosity, enthusiasm, imagination and a
never ending desire to learn new things -- someone
who is excited by lovely antiques, historical
sites and the study of past events that still
resonate in our present lives and experiences.
Chapters enthusiastically support preservation
and restoration projects across the US and Canada.
The Questers award two annual scholarships to
graduate students in historical preservation and an
annual graduate fellowship in art conservation.
Quester chapters are truly grass roots organizations
that preserve and protect local historically
relevant sites; and beyond that; educate their
communities about these sites through special events
and programs for their communities and schools.
This nonprofit organization with its headquarters
in Philadelphia has more than 900 chapters and
15,060 members in the United States and Canada.

The goal of education through research and study
of antiques, historical sites and past events is
reached through chapter meetings. Programs are given
by a member sharing knowledge about a favorite
subject or by an expert in a particular area of
study, or perhaps, a trip to a local historic site.
Each chapter designs its meeting to suit members'
preferences.
Chapters support local preservation projects
through hands-on volunteering and fund-raising.
Questers are drawn by a strong desire to see that
the best of our heritage is preserved for future
generations to enjoy. |
